Your right to recognize, report, and refuse unsafe work is protected by law.
Your employer cannot retaliate against you in a way that affects your job, or threaten to do so, for refusing unsafe work, for reporting unsafe conditions to your supervisor, contacting an administrative body about suspected violations, or for testifying or intending to testify in court about Health and Safety violations of the employer.
If you think your employer is retaliating against you, you must make a complaint to the Department of Labour and Advanced Education within 30 days of any retaliatory action taken by the employer.
