Community Organizer (CSJ)

The community organizer would be responsible for working with other Organizers, workers, and the legal servicing team to build campaigns for progressive employment legislation in Nova Scotia. This includes doing direct outreach to workers and community members through street canvassing, petitioning, phone-banking, and social media. In addition, a part of this job may be to assist with our Workplace Justice Program doing workshops, communications, social media, and outreach.

In addition to organizing work, the role will require fundraising and helping to build our membership base. There is also an opportunity to learn about the legal-servicing and information aspect of our work.
