Co-Executive Director
This is a full-time senior role responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations, strengthening internal systems, and supporting coordination across legal services, organizing, and education programs. The Co-Executive Director will work closely with the current Executive Director during a structured transition period, with the long-term goal of sharing and gradually taking over responsibilities towards a lone Executive Director position.
This is a 12-month contract with a salary of $53,000/year including 3 weeks’ vacation.
Digital Organizer (Canada Summer Jobs)
The digital organizer would be responsible for working with the Lead Organizer, workers, and law students to build campaigns for progressive employment legislation in Nova Scotia. This includes doing direct outreach to workers and community members through street canvassing, petitioning, phone-banking, and social media. This role has a particular emphasis on digital communications, social media, distance outreach across Nova Scotia (via phone-banking), and design.
Like all roles at the Halifax WAC, this position is paid at a living wage rate - $29.40/hour
Fundraiser (Canada Summer Jobs)
We are seeking an experienced Fundraiser to join our organization’s outreach team to lead fundraising efforts during our 8-week organizing and fundraising drive. Successful applicants may also have an opportunity to engage in community organizing initiatives alongside our legal servicing team.
