The Occupational Health and Safety Act is the primary legislation which protects your right to a safe workplace.
It creates and assigns duties to employers, employees, business owners, and contractors with respect to the protection of the health and safety of all people who step foot in the workplace. It also includes a framework for the resolution of health and safety concerns, and compensation for injuries.
