The Halifax Workers' Action Centre offers legal information to non-unionized workers. If you are a member of a union and are experiencing difficulty, please contact your union representative.

Due to reduced capacity, our intakes are paused to non-urgent matters until end of September 2024. The current estimated wait time to speak with a member of the legal information team is: 4 weeks

If your situation is urgent (e.g. mass layoffs/termination, wage theft with looming repercussions like eviction, or otherwise any issue that is urgently affecting a group of workers) please indicate this in the form to expedite your intake process.
