Halifax WAC Open Mic Night and Silent Auction
On October 7, the Halifax Workers' Action Centre held our first ever fundraising event. We enjoyed a diverse range of excellent, labour-minded musical performances - all while raising needed funds for our organization.

'The Gig is Up' film screening
The Halifax WAC participated in a film screening of 'The Gig is Up' on September 8th; a film exploring the complexities of the platform economy through the experiences of gig workers around the world.

Halifax Labour Day March
​The Halifax WAC proudly participated in this year's Labour Day events. We marched to celebrate the protections workers have won as well as to support the fight for a fair working future. After the march, we set up a table at Peace and Friendship Park and handed out basic information to people about their workplace rights in Nova Scotia.
